Improvements

The development consists of 952 two-bedroom flats in predominately three-storey walk-ups (2 smaller blocks housing 6 flats each are two storeys), separated into two villages.

Each unit is approximately 45m² and consists of an open plan lounge / kitchenette, bathroom (shower, washbasin and toilet) and two bedrooms. There are no built-in bedroom cupboards, with kitchen only having kitchen zinc with storage cupboard below. Each flat has been fitted with heat pumps and geyser which only operates as a water storage unit for the heat pump. Each unit is also fitted with prepaid electrical and water meters.

The construction is of facebrick under Cromodeck roofing with tiled floors in the flats and iodized aluminium window frames. Each block has been equipped with wash lines, bin area and wired television. There are tarred roads throughout both complexes with marked open parking bays for residence in front of the various blocks. There are two guard entrances with post boxes for both villages.

Illegal Occupation

  • There are currently 266 units in blocks 3 to 11 of the Immovable Property with unit numbers 36, 42, 51 to 57, 59 to 311, 358, 361, 375, 396 presently unlawfully invaded (“the Invaded Units”).
